River Savante
Global Adventure Guide
Global Citizen. Mountaineer. Scuba-Diver. High School Student.
River has grown up living around the world with her mom, Enlightened Globetrekker Adventures founder Crystal Blue. She has lived in all corners of the earth and was raised immersed in local cultures and taking on epic adventures in her natural remote environments since age 5. By the current age of 16, she has traversed 6 continents including 35 countries. Most of her youth was spent living in Mexico, the South Pacific, Thailand, and Nepal. Much of her global youth was documented by her mom in published articles, sharing her daily adventures and unique way of upbringing and world schooling with the world.
She loves all kinds of adventure from free-diving under the sea to mountain climbing in the Himalayas, trekking ancient ruins, cliff jumping in the Greek Islands, sailing beautiful seas, and exploring jungle cenotes. She is a certified scuba diver, and is currently training to be the youngest American woman to summit Mt. Everest! In training for Everest, this October River summited a Himalayan peak near Everest called Imja Tse (20,500 ft) as the youngest American female! She is fluent in Spanish and loves empanadas! Her favorite country in the world is Nepal because of the intimate connection she has built with the people, and because it is home to the highest mountain in the world, Sagarmatha, or as the world knows it: Mt. Everest. Her favorite city in the world in Paris, France! Her favorite trek in the world is Mount Everest Basecamp! River is now old enough to be an active guide for her family company, to the benefit of guests of all ages.
Her mission is to spread love and adventure to everyone and to send the message that the world is a beautiful place with beautiful people everywhere if you just take the time to get to know and love people and places in an authentic way. Her global adaptability, zest for adventure, and comfort among different cultures make her a true global citizen, and an admirable and inspirational example of a modern teenager flourishing without technology or material comforts or judgments.
River is excited to meet you and guide you on an unforgettable experience internally and externally, leaving you transformed and renewed. River will guide you through her different childhood lands, discussing ways of life and perspectives, and keeping you safe on raw adventures that are for her just a part of everyday life, growing up on an endless adventure. Namaste!
