Dear adventurer,

I am Crystal Savante, founder. My grassroots background and inspiration include and stem from years of experience as a Himalayan expedition guide high in the remote Buddhist land of northern India and Tibet in the majestic Himalayan mountains. I am a cultural anthropologist and have worked with global populations of Tibetan refugees, Australian Aborigines, Burmese refugees, Somali Bantu, and Mayan Indians on human rights and cultural preservation issues, and have taught Mexicans, Thai, Nepalese, and Marshallese in education. I have worked/lived in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Africa, Australia, India, Nepal, Mexico, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Marshall Islands, and have traveled to 56 countries including the Dominican Republic, Fiji, Bali, Indonesia, Spain, France, Guatemala, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Norway, Sweden, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, Malaysia, England and more. Sometimes I was a lone backpacker with a surfboard and a drum, and sometimes I was leading 30 people. My heart is in the Himalayas. There, I helped lead teams of medical doctors to provide care for Tibetan refugees with no access to healthcare. Some patients would walk five days to reach our camp. I led anthropologists deep into the Himalayas and taught them all I know. I was a professor of Tibetan culture, Buddhism, human rights, tourist devastation, and high altitude adaptation. I lived in a tent, ate tsampa, drank chai, researched with nomadic Changpas, and philosophized life. I realized so much. The combination of beautiful nature and raw adventure and humanitarianism that led me to an inspiring self-discovery is what I now share with others, in many forms and environments.

More recently, I have written popular articles for Elephant Journal, and have begun the Enlightened Globetrekker movement to inspire life around the globe, to get out there, get happy, get real, love life, live life, swim the seas, soak up the sun, learn and love others, be thankful, and smile. I have always been an adventurous nature-lover, and I am especially liking paradise these days: turquoise seas, pristine cenotes, ancient ruins, Pacific islands, white sand beaches, jungle palms, and coconuts. Along our adventure, while living in a coconut hut on Zanzibar Island, Tanzania, Africa, I met a Tanzanian partner and we made baby Zilly Cree, a beautiful Tanzanian American, now 5 years old. Together with my now 16-year-old daughter, River, we have created a 3rd culture life in the Mexican paradises of Tulum and Cozumel, have lived in the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific, Bangkok and Ko Samui, Thailand, Malaysia, and Nepal, and have traveled to 32 countries together, traversing and adventuring all corners of the world. We continue to travel the world hosting our inspirational adventure retreats. I continue to help high in the Himalayas, and I love humanity in all corners. We freedive, kayak, climb mountains, swim, trek, camp, explore, dream, and discover real life.  We currently live in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Join us on our next adventure and adventure your body, mind, and soul. Life is beautiful. Come live it!

I look forward to loving life with you soon.

Namaste,
Crystal
